“Pete” is a wonderful, personality filled, quality packed Smooth Collie.  Pete was born on December 2, 1999 and already has many accomplishments to his name.  The most notable accomplishment is winning Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Variety at the 2004 Collie Club of America National Specialty show.  He was also Best Smooth Stud Dog.

Pete finished #1 Smooth in the Collie On Line system for 2004; he finished #2 in the prestigious Hawkins' System for 2004; he finished #2 overall between the Smooths and the Roughs for 2004.  We're very proud!

  • Award of Merit winner under Breeder-Judge Marcia Keller at the 2002 Collie Club of America National Specialty show.

Pete's many qualities make him an important stud dog for Signet Collies.  He is passing his quality on to his babies.  You can look forward to seeing quality puppies out of Pete in the show ring.  They’ll be the ones getting the purple ribbons!

Pete is also entering a new endeavor in the field herding sheep.  We are told Pete has natural instinct and a lot of power.  Between conformation showing, siring beautiful babies and working the sheep, Pete is kept very busy!

Pete is introduced to sheep and after two short sessions, he takes the lead and jumps into the work mode.  While he has not been given the opportunity to attain a herding title, we feel confident that this is something for him to look forward to in the future.
